Our June LosAngeles/CreativeMornings took place at Media Temple in Culver City and our speaker was software designer and artist Josh Nimoy. We had a lot of help from the amazing folks at Blik as they not only sponsored the event, but they created custom signage for us. Thanks to Nick at Blik for doing a grab job hanging all the graphics. Check out more photos from the event right here.

Creative Mornings coming to Herman Miller
Last week I toured the Herman Miller Showroom in Culver City as they were interested in hosting a LosAngeles/CreativeMornings event. The space is remarkable. It’s exactly what you’d expect from Herman Miller. It’s modern, it’s refined, it’s futuristic and I am beyond thrilled to be doing events at their space. Many thanks to Cerentha at Herman Miller for hooking this up.
Visiting Lomo Gallery Store Los Angeles
Our April LosAngeles/CreativeMornings is going to take place at the Lomography Gallery / Store in West Hollywood. Bobby Solomon’s The Fox Is Black is going to be sponsoring the event and so he and I went to check out the space. It was nice to be in there before they were open to check out the amazing selection of cameras and products. I especially loved the Jack White Holga. The branding, the colors and the typography on the packaging were so slick. The event is taking place on April 8th. If you’re in LA – come by.
LosAngeles/CreativeMornings with Scott Flora of Blik
We had an amazing event last Friday (March 18) at The Old Bank in Downtown LA with the inspiring Scott Flora from BLIK. I’ve been a fan of BLIK since I first saw one of their wall graphics about seven years ago at Sprout Home in Chicago. It’s really impressive to see how far they’ve come in only nine years. I love the stories that start with a kernel of an idea in someone’s apartment and turn into a full-fledged, thriving business. This is BLIK. The video from the talk should be up in the next week or so, so you can see Scott’s talk in all its glory.
Joe Moller (Executive Directory of the Downtown Los Angeles ArtWalk) helped secure The Old Bank for us which was a really stunning venue. Big thanks to Joe and everyone at the Downtown Los Angeles ArtWalk for hosting and sponsoring the event.
The Old Bank
Next Friday’s LosAngeles/CreativeMornings with Scott Flora Co-Founder of Blik will take place at The Old Bank building in the heart of Downtown LA’s Old Bank District. It’s located at 401 S. Main St. on the corner of 4th. We’re working on a possible parking lot deal with one of the various lots within a block of the venue and of course there is ample public transportation. Many thanks to our gracious hosts The Downtown Los Angeles ArtWalk and The Old Bank District for hooking this up. Breakfast will be provided by The Downtown Los Angeles ArtWalk and Something Massive.
