Snapped this shot this afternoon flying back from SF to LA. The world never ceases to amaze.

There are some days I want to pack it all in, move to the middle of nowhere and get a job working at a deli. Other days, I can’t believe how lucky I am to do what I get to do. This past Wednesday was one of the best work days I’ve had in years. It was one of those times when everything came together. I’ll write up a full post once the new swrve site launches, but in the meantime… the combination of Matt/Muriel from swrve, their awesome cyclist friends who modeled for us, the perfect locations and the mind-blowingly talented photographer  Brad Swonetz it was such a successful day. I am so excited about this project. I just want to add that Brad Swonetz is my favorite photographer I’ve ever worked with. There’s not attitude, no ego – nothing but hard work and dedication.

I made my inaugural visit to the Rose Bowl Flea Market this past weekend. We were on the lookout for four Salterini chairs to match the table Mindy bought there a few months back. Within about 10 minutes we stumbled upon a set. It was magic. However, it kind of killed the hunt right then and there. I spent the next hour or so taking tons of pics of all the cool stuff I would have bought if I didn’t just drop a bunch of cash on those beautiful chairs. I did manage to haggle a nice old lady down on a Cyclo-Pan 70 panoramic of Yosemite. I’ll post some pics once I get that one hung out in our studio. If you’re in LA go check out that flea market. It’s incredible.

Someone said this was "So LA." It's a dog wearing sunglasses. The True Grit billboard is the perfect compliment.

I stole this idea from Bumble Ward. She does this great thing on her site where she posts Instagrams from the weekend or even form the day. I love the immediacy of Instagram, but there isn’t a way to archive them yet. It’s also a nice excuse to add photos once a month to this site that I so rarely update.

I can’t keep count of all the things I love about the iPhone (the service isn’t even that bad), but at the top of the list is Instagr.am. I’ve been using it for a few months now and it’s the best app out there. It’s silly, easy and fun – almost like a visual and arty twitter. I highly recommend it. It’s FREE! You just snap a pic, or use a pre-existing one, at a filter, a caption and/or location and you’re done. You can follow people and like and comment on people’s photos. It’s great.
