Yesterday was my last day working at Something Massive. It’s been an incredibly journey and it’s hard to say goodbye to the amazing people there. I was employee #2 there and it has been a honor to work with everyone there and watch this little start-up turn into a thriving and sought after agency. I learned more than I could ever have imagined and will cherish the experience and the people for years to come.

SF for a minute…

Heading up to SF tomorrow morning at 6:30am for a morning pitch and then it’s right back to LA. I love San Francisco and I love the fog. It’s pretty much my home town. I wish I could stay long enough to see my folks, eat some tacos and freeze my ass off in August. This postcard is from the fabulous Legends of America site.
New site
It’s finally here! A new site design. I’ve added a rather comprehensive work section which allows me to show a little bit more about what I am doing all day (and night). Thanks a million to the ridiculously talented Caroline Keim (our brilliant tech lead at Something Massive) for helping me do this.
swrve Shoot with Brad Swonetz
There are some days I want to pack it all in, move to the middle of nowhere and get a job working at a deli. Other days, I can’t believe how lucky I am to do what I get to do. This past Wednesday was one of the best work days I’ve had in years. It was one of those times when everything came together. I’ll write up a full post once the new swrve site launches, but in the meantime… the combination of Matt/Muriel from swrve, their awesome cyclist friends who modeled for us, the perfect locations and the mind-blowingly talented photographer Brad Swonetz it was such a successful day. I am so excited about this project. I just want to add that Brad Swonetz is my favorite photographer I’ve ever worked with. There’s not attitude, no ego – nothing but hard work and dedication.
Denver
I just got back from a few days in Denver. We were there for work and didn’t get to see a ton of the city, but I snapped a few pics with the instagram app. Denver seems decent. I liked that fresh mountain air and it was nice to see the leaves changing. I was super impressed with their Denver Bike Sharing program which has little bike depots all over town. We also had an amazing meal at Cholon highlighted by one of the best whiskey cocktails around – The Old Saigon. Highly recommended if you happen to be in Denver.
