Redux Pictures

Tags:

Redux Pictures is one of countries most celebrated photographic agencies. They are the North American distributor of stock images for the New York Times. They wanted a site that promoted their stock library, but still featured their impressive roster of photographers front and center. Search was extremely important to them as was the ability to please photo editors from around the World. The result is a beautiful and visually engaging agency site built without Flash to improve search results. The photographer rosters are sortable by region and specialty while the portfolios themselves are viewable as a slideshow, grid, full-screen and printable. Their stock is now featured on their homepage and their stock transactions doubled since the new site was launched. Their search traffic is up over 1000% due to image tagging through WordPress.

Rock Posters

For about a six year period I spent a great deal of my time designing rock posters. I loved it. I made more than 300 different posters for an endless roster of artists spanning just about every genre. I sold thousands of them on my site and through InSound.com. The posters were exhibited in LA, NYC, Japan, The UK, Denmark and Indianapolis. Here are some of my favorites.

Telcel

Telcel.com is the portal for the telecommunications giant which is the largest telecommunications provider in Mexico, Latin and South America. This user-friendly and minimal layout helped bring clarity and usability to an information-heavy site. Each interaction point on the home page featured an inline rollover offering additional information about the various services and products. Ajax sliders and dropdown enabled the user to make informed choices on the home page. The company has seen a massive increase in conversions since the new site has been live. Project worked on at Something Massive.

Noir Book Covers

One of my brilliant bosses, Chris Gibbin, is also a wonderful filmmaker. His latest, entitled Lost Angeles is a modern day noir picture of LA. I helped out by contributing several noir book covers all made from scratch. They were all printed up and appeared in the film.

Kartell – The Ghost Project

Tags: ,

Kartell needed to find a way to improve link authority in an organic way. I devised and executed The Ghost Project as a way to get creatives (popular writers, bloggers and designers) to talk about the brand. Each participant kept the Louis Ghost Chair for a week, answered three questions and photographed their time with the chair. The project has been extremely successful as tastemakers and trendsetters are talking about the brand. Project worked on at Something Massive.
