Bluebeam Website and E-commerce Redesigns
Redesigning the website and e-commerce experiences were a key part of the success of our Global rebrand. The website had previously been a maze of pages and design patterns leading to a good amount of user confusion and abandonment during the evaluation and purchase process. We worked as a team across the company defining a primary purpose, and evaluating simple user paths to success. The primary purpose of our site was to drive our users to our trial download. We felt that without actually using the software the users have very little use for the other aspects of the site. We focused on simple, concise, value-based copy that solved the problems in our users’ heads with clear solutions. My Design and Development team streamlined our palettes, fonts, and UI patterns. Now the site loads incredibly quickly, offers a robust mobile experience, and is built to scale across all of our Global regions by integrating with Smartling, our translation partner.
Results: Since its launch, we have seen steady improvement in traffic, downloads, and purchases. Our webstore saw double-digit year-over-year growth and is responsible for millions of dollars in revenue globally each year. In addition to the quantitative improvements, the site is a more accurate reflection of our customers, our industry, and our brand.
My role: I led design, UX, content, and testing. I worked across the company to prioritize departmental needs.
All work was done in-house by Bluebeam’s exceptional Creative team.
